This seminar covers the problems with merging the physical Administrative Network infrastructure – routers and switches – onto the University Data Network and the MPLS (MultiProtocol Label Switching) technology used to support two separate networks running on the same equipment. This will allow us to move the network onto a newer, faster, more capable and supported backbone without buying additional equipment.
Included is:
- Background into the structure of the ACN Network and comparing it with the CUDN
- The problems with moving the ACN Network onto the CUDN
- The technology that allows us to solve these problems – how it works, including an example
- The implementation plan
